Voglio works differently than arranged-dating apps. With Voglio, there is no messaging and no profiles to review. You simply like any user who appears on your feed, and if they like you, you create a match and meet, right where you are. It’s that simple.
During the Voglio onboarding process, you will be asked to provide only a few bits of basic information, such as your birthdate, gender and age-range preference, as well as provide a single profile photo that will be the only personal information other users will see on Voglio. This simplicity not only makes Voglio fast and easy to use, it naturally provides greater safety and far more protection of your personal information.
Only Voglio users who correspond to your specified preferences in your immediate vicinity (~15-20 meter radius), will appear in your feed. Anyone you like (by tapping the heart on a user’s photo in your feed) is a potential match. If they like you too, you have a match and you meet up, right where you are, wherever you may go. Sound natural? It is!
This simplicity creates a more authentic way to meet someone and allows you to be far more spontaneous in introducing yourself. There is no awkward moment – you already know your match likes you, so say hi and see where the conversation takes you. There’s no pressure to do anything except be you.
Your feed will display all Voglio users who fit your preferences within close proximity (~15-20 meter radius) from wherever you are, wherever you may go. As you shift your location or other users shift their locations, new users will appear on your feed when they are in range and others will disappear from your feed.
With Voglio, you go wherever you want to – bar, club, beach, library, cafe, airport, wherever – and discover new people wherever you go. It is a far more natural way to meet someone new.
Voglio works best with your location services always switched on, but should you choose not to be seen on Voglio, simply switch “Appear on Voglio” off on your Profile page and you will not be seen on Voglio. It’s fast, easy, safe and totally authentic.
Voglio works with a 50 meter radius, so if a user is out of this 50 meter radius, they will be removed from your feed and other users in the radius will enter. This is the nature of the spontaneous connnections that Voglio encourages, and why we advise our users to act quickly when viewing potential matches on their feed.
If you have been blocked by or block a user yourself. You will also be removed from their profile, and their profile will be removed from your view as well.
If you have matched with a user their image will move under the matches tab and no longer be featured in your feed.Since our technology is very particular, you will need to ensure you follow our photography guidelines as strictly as possible, these are featured below the image in the signup process.
These include:Make sure your photo shows your face clearly
Remove any hats or garments that obstruct your face
Ensure you have proper lighting
Voglio uses image verification upon our sign up process. Each user must complete this verification before they are able to enter the app and access any of our Voglio feeds. For more information on our image verification technology please read our Safety Policy.
Spontaneous connections are at the root of Voglio’s intention. We purposely do not provide messaging capability or share any personal information about a user through our feeds. Because of this once you have matched with someone the fate lies in your hands. It is up to you to approach or be approached by one of our users. Any next steps you take as a match are up to you and don’t need to utilise the app.
SHould the user not be visible to you immediately you can use the match image to find them in your current location. You will have 60 minutes to do so before the match times out. If you cannot find them within this time don’t worry, you will be able to access their image in your match passport, where all previous matches will be compiled in an archive on your match’s pages. You cannot message through the Voglio platform. Our platform is created to intentionally encourage spontaneous real-life connections in the moment. You are encouraged to use any matched user image to approach them in person and start your conversation that way.
This may be for a few different reasons:
-
People of your preferences maybe not be in your area and you may not be featured in their dating preferences
-
You maybe have turned off your locations services and need to allow them for Voglio to connect you with potential matches in your area
-
You may not be in an area with enough users featured, you can use our map functionality to find other Voglio Users in a specific area
-
You may have to adjust the filters of your feed as you may presently be on a selection that doesn’t feature any users.
-
In the settings page on the Voglio app you can add and remove blocked locations which hide your profile from other Voglio feeds whilst you are in that fixed 100 meter radius featured on the map. You can set as many of these blocked locations as you’d like and remove them with ease.
This can be used at your house, at your place of work or anywhere of your choice across the Voglio map. You will still have access to the map and your match passport, but feeds and matches will be blocked in these areas for you. For more information on blocked locations please read our Privacy Policy
Out of range means that your user has left the 20 meter radius surrounding you. Since Voglio is created to encourage spontaneous in-the-moment connections, we are letting you know when a user has moved further from you as this may affect your ability to find them and spark a conversation. This can commonly happen in large crowded environments, so we encourage you to do the best you can in your search!
Match Passport is an archive you can browse through of all previous matches you have had on the app. We showcase the date and time in which you met this user, as well as the specific location you may have met. You can always remove these matches from this archive should you wish to, however this will delete any record of that match permanently for you and the user from the match you removed.
If you have “Appear on Voglio” selected, you will be shown on users feeds everytime you open the app. This allows you to have full use of our feed and match pages. Should you deselect this setting, you will be removed from all feed and match pages but your match passport and map functionalities will remain intact. Your appearance on the map as an anonymous user will stil remain.
Pausing your account on the other hand will remove access to all app functionality, you will not appear on nor be able to use our feed, match or map pages. All locations permissions are turned off and the app is entirely unusable but has kept all your data should you wish to unpause your account.
You get the chance to shoot your shot again! Voglio allows users to match as many times as they wish, so should you bump into the same person once again you are welcome and encouraged to reconnect.
You can use the map page to find places where a high density of Voglio users are. We encourage users to check the map often to see where they may find other users. Voglio cannot guarantee that these users will be within your preferences, but we encourage you to go out and explore!
