  • At Voglio, we are committed to maintaining a positive community that is safe, trustworthy and respectable. We want your Voglio experience to be fun and fruitful, but we also want you to be safe and respected. 

     

    To achieve this, we hold all members to the same high standards as outlined in more detail in our Guiding Principles. Put simply, we expect all users to:

     

    Respect yourself – Show your authentic self

    Respect others  – Be fair, kind and honest to others

    Respect safety  – Play it safe and abide the rules of the game


    To maintain this trusted space, there is certain content and behavior that is not permitted. In accordance with our Terms of Use, content or behavior that violates our Terms or Guiding Principles, may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account. Such prohibited content or behavior includes, but is not limited to, anything that is hateful, harmful, abusive, disrespectful, inappropriate, illegal or dangerous in any way.

  • Voglio is significantly different from traditional dating apps. With Voglio, your profile photo is the only personal information explicitly revealed to other Voglio users, and only to users in your same general vicinity, who match your personal preferences. No other personal information or your location is revealed to other users; however, your age, gender, age-range preference, gender preference, and location, while never explicitly revealed by our services, may be, at least in part, inferred by other users with corresponding age and gender preferences within your same general vicinity.

     

    Voglio also uses your device's location to create connections between you and nearby users. Your exact location is never revealed. By using Voglio, you consent to the collection and use of location data. You can disable location sharing via your phone settings, but some core app features, such as creating connections for your Voglio feed, would become unavailable if your mobile location services were unavailable. As such, we ask users to enable "Always Allow" location access to provide real-time proximity-based matching; however, users can opt out or change their phone location settings at any time.

     

    For times when you choose not to be seen on the app, simply turn off “Appear on Voglio” on your Profile page. Your location and “Appear on Voglio” must both be switched on for you to see other users and to be seen by other users on the app while using our services.

  • With Voglio, you have the right to take control of your privacy and personal information. You can always update your data directly within the Voglio app simply by updating your information on your Profile page within the app. You can also request a copy of your data by contacting us at support@voglio.app.

  • Our Guiding Principles are intended to set out guidelines to keep Voglio users safe and respected, so all users can be assured that their experience while using Voglio will be a happy and healthy one. To this end, these guidelines outline content and conduct that is acceptable and expressly prohibited.


    Voglio Corp. reserves the right to block Voglio members for offences of our Guiding Principles and violations of our Terms of Use. Further, at our sole discretion, we may terminate or suspend any user’s rights to use our services without prior notice, as set out Terms, as well as remove inappropriate or unauthorized user content from the app.

  • At any time, if you believe the action we have taken in regard to your account or your content is in error, you can appeal our decision within a six-month period after termination or suspension. To appeal, simply fill out the appeals form linked to your termination or suspension notice. You may also contact us directly at support@voglio.app to provide sufficient details to appeal our decision.

     

    For users in the EU, you also have additional stated rights under the EU’s Digital Services Act (“DSA”), which include: i) access to third-party out-of-court dispute settlement processes; ii) seek remedies from the courts in the EU member state in which you live; and iii) lodge a complaint with your local EU regulatory authority 

     

    For users residing in the United Kingdom (“UK”), you have the right to bring a claim for breach of contract if you maintain that we have breached these Terms by removing, restricting or limiting your access or distribution of Your Content, or terminating or suspending your Account.

  • In the unlikely event that we have a legal dispute, our Terms of Use contains provisions governing how claims are resolved, including detailed dispute resolutions, the arbitration process, and an arbitration agreement that will, with limited exceptions, require disputes between you and us to be submitted to binding arbitration. You have the right to opt out of the arbitration agreement pursuant our Terms. Unless you opt out of the arbitration agreement as described in Section 11, the agreement requires that you resolve disputes with us by binding arbitration, instead of in a court of law, and limits the remedies by which you can seek relief. For purposes of this dispute resolution and our arbitration agreement, “Voglio” will include our owner, partners, employees, licensors, and service providers.

  • If you notice suspicious activity on your account, such as unexpected changes in your personal information, preferences, or a profile photo you didn’t upload, please contact our customer support team at any time by sending an email to support@voglio.app.

     

    To keep your account safe, we require SMS verification when you log in to Voglio using your phone number. Even if someone attempted to gain access to your account using your phone number, access would be denied without the appropriate SMS verification code sent directly to your phone. For this reason, it is highly important that you never share SMS verification codes with anyone.
